Mother's Day

With Mother's Day coming up, many people do not realize that this is "one of those days" for people in the restaurant industry. Around here we always make the joke that New Year's Eve is the Superbowl for us. In other words, we are extremely busy with the amount of people coming in and out for dinner all night long.

In comparison, Mother's Day is the World Series. Many people do not realize that Mother's Day is one of the busiest days of the year for us behind Easter and Valentine's Day. According to the National Restaurant Association, almost 80 million Americans will go out to eat at restaurants this Sunday alone. The survey shows that 8 out of every 10 consumers believe that going out to a restaurant is better leisure time than cooking a large meal and cleaning it up, which is especially true on special occasions.



The thought of not having to cook and clean is one that relieves the stress of making big plans for this special day and allowing you to spend more time with Mom. Even while 80 million people plan to go out to eat with their mothers, this survey also details that almost 7 percent of the population will order takeout or delivery to replace a home cooked meal.
