The 2013 Lady Cavs are the first team to go to this tournament since 1990 when LP placed fourth in Class AA. Last Saturday, the Lady Cavs competed against Champaign Centennial in the Class 3A Washington Super-Sectional, defeating the Lady Chargers 16-25, 25-23, 25-2. The Lady Cavs will go on to play Chicago Payton this weekend, and we wish them all the luck. As an LP alumni who was in the athletic program all four years, let me say on behalf of Uptown that we are proud of you ladies and all of your accomplishments!
