Lent Specials:
Shrimp Tacos, Steelhead Salmon & More

With the first week of Lent under our belts, we like to review how our specials did with the crowds. And while we're particularly excited about this year's line up, there are a few that are rising above the rest in our current seafood selection. Last week, Ray introduced the San Francisco ciopinno which has been extremely popular and eye opening among our regulars.

One of the hottest items of the week, though, has been our marix marinated shrimp tacos. Marix is a blend of cumin, garlic, and lime juice originating from Texas. We marinate and grill bay shrimp and combine it with our newly reinvented fish tacos consisting of red cabbage, mango, strawberry, red pepper, wasabi cream, and ginger soy sauce. This has hands down been one of our top sellers over the last week. While it is only available on Fridays, many customers have been asking for it every other day of the week as well.

Another new item for the lenten season is our pan seared orange-balsamic glazed steelhead salmon. The citrus and tanginess balance out to create a sweet reduction that covers an otherwise meaty and heavier bodied fish for a dinner that you won't find anywhere else.

As always, we also serve a classic, local favorite: spinach filled tortellacci with our housemade white wine cream sauce. Finally, the ever popular fish and chips is available as well. We hand cut and fry our fish in a harp beer batter, and serve it with authentic "chips." Served with tartar sauce, malt vinegar and coleslaw, it's the epitome of traditional fish and chips.

While these specials are only available on Fridays during Lent, don't forget that the rest of our seafood entrees are available all day, everyday. As most of us associate Lent with giving up an item for 40 days, why should you give up good food? Our extensive seafood selection allows us to make Lent easy for you!
