Italian Five Grain

It's hard to find the line that borders the state of "good" and "good for you." You want a dish that gives you the fiber, healthy carbs, and low calories that only cardboard-tasting health bars can offer while also leaving you feeling full and satisfied.

It's safe to say that we've successfully done all the work for you.  For a limited time, we're offering our Italian five grain with edamame and leek.  Sure to be a crowd pleaser with the health conscious readers out there, this dish is not only healthy for you, but also leaves you satisfied enough to come back for more!

Consisting of farro, barley, durum, and whole grain oats, we sautee the blend with toasted pepita (Spanish pumpkin seeds), edamame (soybeans found primarily in Pacific/Asian cuisine), fresh leeks, diced carrots, and grape tomatoes. While we showcase it on our menu as a perfect side dish to any meal, with a few tweaks it could also be a perfect main dish as well.

We suggest adding one of our many salad toppers ranging from veggie burgers or salmon burgers to seared tuna or chicken. Even a grilled portobello mushroom can turn this side dish into the perfect light lunch or dinner. Whatever your taste may be, we guarantee that this dish is versatile enough to offer it all.
