The Uptown takes pride in the great musical talent that graces our banquet room stage. We also take pride in our staff members who are often equally talented in their own right.
We offer a quick shout-out to Andrea and her fellow journalism students at Illinois Valley Community College. Together, they are presenting the IVCC Talent Showcase on Thursday, April 24 beginning at 7 p.m. in the college's Cultural Center/Auditorium.
The showcase includes vocal, acoustic, comedic and dance performances. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Tickets can be purchased for $5 in advance by emailing IVtalentshowcase@gmail.com or $8 at the door.
